The history of an ocean shipment isn't a list to read top to bottom. It is a map: each milestone says where the goods were at that moment and, above all, which stage of the process they are in.
The last milestone is the one that matters
Statuses are recorded in order. The last one describes the current situation: in the network, in the warehouse, in the container, in transit, at customs, at destination, or delivered.
- Receipt and consolidation: the goods are in our hands, already identified.
- Transit: they have left and are on the way. No action needed on your part.
- Customs: if a hold appears, our destination team handles it and will let you know if anything is needed.
- Destination: the shipment is in the destination warehouse or out for delivery. Coordination is now with the recipient.
A big jump isn't necessarily a problem
A long interval can pass between one milestone and the next with no new record: a consolidation waits for its departure, a container moves without a logged event. A stretch with no news is normal and doesn't mean the shipment has stopped.
