These terms govern the use of the Cuba Envios site and the manner in which shipping requests are captured. By browsing the site, you accept its content under the terms described here.
1. Acceptance
Accessing and viewing the site implies that you have read and accept these terms and the legal policies to which this document gives effect. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms apply to anyone browsing the site. The operation of shipments is governed by the specific conditions that Cuba Envios confirms in writing in each customer's proposal.
2. Nature of the service
This site is informational: it presents Cuba Envios's shipping services to Cuba and offers a contact channel. It lets you learn about the available options, find the company's offices, request a quote, and check the status of an ongoing sea-parcel shipment.
The website is not a payment gateway, does not charge for any service, and does not enter into contracts. In this version there is no online shipment registration, no registration of recipients in Cuba, no online payment processing, no individual customer accounts, and no processing of consular service requests through the website.
3. Requests and quotes
Submitting a request does not mean that the shipment will take place or that the proposed rate is final. The operation reviews each query, verifies the feasibility of the destination, and returns a price and timeframe adjusted to your case.
To quote accurately, the request includes data about the type of goods, the destination, and an approximate weight. If information is missing, the operation will ask you for it before preparing the proposal.
4. Prices and payments
The site does not publish rates or charge any amount. The price of each shipment or service is determined in the proposal that Cuba Envios prepares and is confirmed in writing, together with the expected timeframe and the conditions of performance.
The payment method, accepted means, and timing are explained in that same confirmation. What this document guarantees is that no charge is made from the site or without your consent.
5. User responsibilities
- Truthfully declare the contents of the goods, their value, and their destination, and correct any data that changes.
- Comply with the regulations in force in the country of origin and the destination country, both in customs matters and in the importation of products.
- Do not send prohibited items, perishable material without preservation conditions, or substances that may be dangerous.
- Deliver the goods properly packed and prepared for transport, and provide any documentation the operation requests.
- Use the site lawfully and do not attempt to access restricted content or functions.
6. Use of the tracking platform
Shipment status queries are public and are made by entering the shipment order number or the package HBL. That identifier is sent to the public tracking API, and the response may include the name of the person recording each milestone and other shipment data: treat it with the same discretion you would apply to shipment data. The tracking platform publishes only sea-parcel shipments; the status of other services is confirmed in writing.
The information shown by the platform is fed by the milestones recorded by carriers and the delivery network on the island, so it may be delayed or may not instantly reflect an incident. If in doubt, the appropriate channel is to contact Cuba Envios through its service channels.
7. Intellectual property
The texts, design, code, images, and other elements of the site belong to Cuba Envios or are used with authorization, and are protected by intellectual property law.
You may not reproduce, adapt, or distribute the site's content without prior written authorization, except in cases permitted by law.
8. Changes to the terms and governing law
These terms may be updated to adapt them to changes in the services or the operation. The version in force is the one you can consult on this page, and the last updated date appears at the beginning of the document.
The applicable framework is the law of the State of Florida, United States, without prejudice to the mandatory rules of the country of origin and destination of each shipment and to the U.S. regulations applicable to operations involving Cuba. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals that have jurisdiction.
