At Cuba Envios we believe a website should be usable under the same conditions as any other. This statement explains what measures we apply to care for accessibility and where there is still room for improvement.
1. Commitment
The site is built taking accessibility guidelines for web content into account, so that navigation, reading, and interaction with forms work with the tools each person needs.
We review the site periodically and whenever we publish relevant changes. This statement is updated when that review identifies a correction.
2. Measures adopted
- Keyboard navigation — The site's functions, including the menu and forms, have been designed to be usable without a mouse.
- Visible focus — The element that has focus at any given moment is distinguishable from the rest.
- Contrast — Text and background colors have been chosen to maintain sufficient contrast in the light theme.
- Alternative text — Images that convey information have a description, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Reduced motion — When the operating system requests reduced motion, the site's transitions and animations are softened or disabled.
- Semantic HTML — The page structure relies on tags that describe each area, improving navigation by headings and regions.
- Labeled forms — Each field has its associated label, and error messages are linked to the field through aria-describedby, so the screen reader announces them when activated.
- Status announcements — Form status changes, such as the result of a submission, are communicated through a region with role="status" so they are announced without interrupting the task.
3. Conformance claims
The site is built using accessibility guidelines for web content as a reference and is reviewed manually in each round of changes. That review is a design and code check, not a certification of conformance: it does not cover every combination of browser, device, text size, and assistive product on the market.
A site's accessibility improves continuously, and each change can alter the previous result. That is why this statement reflects the site's status on the indicated date and is updated when the review identifies a correction.
4. Known limitations
- Some content published on the blog comes from third-party material whose format cannot always be corrected.
- Map information and external links do not depend on this site and may not meet the same criteria.
- Documents the operation makes available to the customer, such as guides or checklists, are not always prepared as accessible web content.
- The site has not been validated with every combination of browser, operating system, and screen reader available on the market.
5. Feedback measures
The written channel to report an access barrier is Pending completion by legal counsel, stating the page, what you were trying to do, and with what tool you were trying to do it. While that email address does not exist, you can inform us by telephone at +1 (239) 258-7677, by WhatsApp at https://wa.me/12392587677, or at any of the three Florida offices (Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, and Port Charlotte).
Each report is reviewed and, where appropriate, corrected. Issues that depend on third-party content are forwarded to the corresponding responsible party so they can be remedied.
6. Contact and complaint procedure
For questions about this statement, the written channel is Pending completion by legal counsel; you can also use the telephone +1 (239) 258-7677, WhatsApp https://wa.me/12392587677, or visit any of the three Florida offices (Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, and Port Charlotte). If the response does not resolve your case, you may complain to the appropriate supervisory authority: there is no single authority, because Cuba Envios operates under the jurisdiction of the State of Florida, United States, and depending on the nature of the complaint it may be the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), the Florida Attorney General, or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
This version of the site does not process consular requests online. If the complaint concerns a consular service, Cuba Envios handles matters relating to its own management and billing; official consular decisions correspond to the competent authorities.
